Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape and pass when the opponent is using the lasso and spider guard. Lucas is standing and gripping both the opponent’s legs by the knees. The opponent circles his foot around to go for the lasso while keeping the spider guard on the other arm. Lucas uses his knee to brace against the opponent and grips the belt. He now steps back pulling the opponent up. Both hands are circled around the legs in the same direction. Lucas walks to the side to pull the leg down and goes for the toreada pass. From here, Lucas passes to the side control.
