Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to pass an opponent's sit-up guard and establish the side control position. The opponent begins in De La Riva guard holding Lucas' ankle and sleeve. As the opponent establishes the sit-up guard position, Lucas grips the upper back and outside of the knee and then pushes the opponent's foot to the mat. He then steps to the outside while dropping his head below the opponent's chin to pass the guard, switching his grip from the knee to the hip at the end of the sequence to establish the side control position.
