Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent’s back, after attempting to sweep the opponent on two different times. Lucas is playing the open guard and the opponent defends by keeping one knee up and the other on the mat. Lucas controls the sleeves and places his feet on the opponent’s biceps. The opponent puts one knee up to defend. Lucas brings that same side leg over and tries to sweep the opponent, but the opponent once again defends by stepping over the leg. Lucas immediately goes to the reverse De La Riva and tries to sweep the opponent again, but the opponent once again defends. Lucas sits up and reaches over the leg to grip the opponents sleeve with both hands. He scoots back and hooks his foot in front of the opponent’s. Lucas now reaches for the collar to brings the opponent closer. He pulls on the collar as he lifts with his foot. Lucas from here, takes the back.
