Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get the armbar submission after attempting to sweep the opponent with a Lasso. Lucas is in the open guard and breaks the grip so he can get the lasso. The same leg that was used for the Lasso is now placed in between the opponent’s legs. Lucas squares up and reaches for the same side collar as he maintains the lasso grip on the wrist. The other foot is used to post on the mat and he pulls the opponent to the side to sweep. In this scenario, the opponent defends by pushing Lucas to the side and applies pressure. Lucas uses his top leg to push the opponent away. He sweeps by hooking his foot under the opponent’s leg and turns his hips. From here, Lucas then finishes with the armbar.
