Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get the armbar submission after sweeping the opponent with a Lasso sweep. Lucas is in the open guard and breaks the grip so he can get the lasso. The same leg that was used for the Lasso is now placed in between the opponent’s legs. Lucas squares up and reaches for the same side collar as he maintains the lasso grip on the wrist. The other foot is used to post on the mat and he pulls the opponent to the side to sweep. On the opponent has his back on the mat, Lucas immediately goes for the armbar. If the opponent locks Lucas’ leg, he can still get the armbar by turning his body to the side.
