Overhead Sweep to Mount (Fundamentals)

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how sweep the opponent and land on the mount with the overhead sweep. Lucas starts on his back while the opponent is standing in front. He places his feet on the opponent’s hips and grips the collar and sleeve. Lucas pushes the opponent away and the opponent reacts by trying to go forwards. As soon as the opponent reacts, Lucas pulls him back and lifts the opponent up with his legs. Lucas drops the opponent on the same side he is controlling the sweep to prevent him from defending. The opponent goes over and Lucas lands on top in the mount position.
