Professor Lucas Lepri shows what to do when an opponent prevents Lucas from completing the previous technique. As in the previous technique, Lucas frees his knee and attempts to circle around to take the opponent’s back. In this situation, as Lucas circles around, the opponent sits up and uses his collar grip to keep Lucas’ upper body away. Lucas responds by circling around toward the back by quickly clapping his hand down on the opponent’s elbow, forcing the opponent back down onto the mat where Lucas can complete the pass to side control.
