Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to escape and take the mount position when the opponent has him in the reverse half guard. Lucas points his own knees away from the opponent and hooks the near side foot with his own. In this scenario, the opponent notices Lucas’ top leg and underhooks it. Lucas then unhooks the foot, opens his legs and then re-locks them in the figure four trapping the opponent’s arm. With the opponent’s arm now trapped, Lucas grips his hands together over the opponent’s head. He unlocks his feet and bridges over reversing the opponent. From here, Lucas then slides his knee over and gets the mount position.
