Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to sweep to mount from the z-guard when an opponent defends with a whizzer. In this sequence, Lucas starts from the z-guard and secures his deep underhook, but the opponent applies a whizzer to Lucas' arm and sprawls his hips down. By bumping the opponent forward with his knee, Lucas is able to post on his shoulder and come up into the dogfight position. He then posts on a hand and pivots, torquing the opponent's knee to bring him to the mat. Since the opponent is hooking Lucas' leg, Lucas opts to apply an underhook and transition straight to the mount position.
