Shin-to-Shin Sit-Up Guard Sweep and Pass (Advanced)

February 09, 2018 on 18:02 865 10

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a shin-to-shin sweep and pass from sit-up guard. Lucas first sits up with his chest tight to the opponent's knee and holds around the leg to grip the lapel or belt. When the opponent plants his front foot, Lucas posts and scoots himself backward to establish the shin-to-shin sit-up guard. The opponent tries to put Lucas' back to the mat, but Lucas grips the collar and uses his other foot to hook behind the far leg. He pulls the opponent forward and then grips the bottom of the pant leg when the opponent posts. Lucas lifts with both hooks until the opponent is nearly falling over and then he drops his leg to the mat and continues to elevate with his shin-to-shin hook to complete the sweep. To finish the sequence, Lucas keeps his head low and passes to the back side with grips around the back and on the bottom of the pant leg.
