Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to counter a single leg and take the opponent down using a butterfly sweep. The opponent goes for the single leg takedown and Lucas grips the arm and the belt with his other hand. The opponent attempts to take Lucas down but Lucas maintains a good base and hops around following the opponent. When the timing is right, Lucas drops his free knee on the mat and uses his other leg to sweep the opponent over. Lucas comes up and bases with his leg forward while sitting over the leg, trapping the single leg arm. He now reaches for the collar and uses it to make the opponent turn away. From here, Lucas releases his legs and passes to the side control position, or north south position.
