Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to pass the opponent’s guard when they have the lasso and are controlling the sleeve. The opponent starts by controlling Lucas’ lapel and has the same side lasso. Lucas maintains his distance to prevent the opponent from attacking. When he moves in, he controls the same side sleeve on the lasso side and the inside of the other leg with his other hand. Lucas now steps over the opponent’s leg he was controlling and turns his knee towards the opponent for a knee on belly position. He posts on the other side with his hand and then keeps turning. As Lucas turns, he reaches for the far side sleeve to pull the opponent and also uses his leg to turn the opponent. From here, Lucas then passes to the side control position.
