Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to sweep the opponent by inverting while using the lasso. Lucas starts with the open guard with his feet on the hips and controlling both sleeves. The opponent is standing controlling Lucas’ pants near the knees. Lucas turns to the side and kicks his leg out to break one of the opponent’s grips on the pants. The opponent reacts by stepping forward with his inside leg. Lucas stays on the side and raises his hips to create enough space to get the lasso on the arm he broke the grip from. He now moves his other foot to the same side hip that he has the lasso. He spins underneath, getting inverted and controls the opponent’s leg. Lucas now elevates his hips, pendulums forward and sweeps the opponent. From here, Lucas pushes the opponent to the side and transitions to the side control.
