Long Step Pass Attempt to Mount Control (Intermediate)

Description

Professor André Gois shows how to get to the mount control after attempting a long step pass. André starts to pass using the knee cut, but is not able due to the opponent having the reverse de la riva and pushing on the chest. André adjusts his grips and brings his outside knee close to the opponent. In this variation, when he drops his body and steps out with his knee cut leg, the opponent immediately under hooks André. André counters by also under hooking the opponent’s bottom arm. This allows André to start applying pressure and forcing the opponent back. From here, he adjusts his legs and is able to get the mount control position.
