Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get the Americana submission from mount when the opponent defends a cross choke. As Lucas is in the mount position, he tries to go for a collar choke on the opponent. The opponent defends the collar choke by protecting his neck with his arms and hands. Lucas takes advantage of this and pushes one of the opponent’s arms to the ground with his hand on the opponent’s wrist. He then passes his other arm underneath the opponent’s bicep to grip his own wrist while keeping his elbow at a ninety-degree angle, bracing his elbow against the opponent’s head. Lucas then lifts the opponent’s elbow and then slides the wrist down to get the submission.
