Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to get a lapel cross choke after escaping from the half guard. Lucas begins in his opponent’s half guard. He clubs the back, gripping the opponent’s lapel, and uses his arm and elbow to block his opponent’s hip and thigh, respectively. Then he switches his hips to escape his knee and immediately reestablishes the under hook. Now Lucas turns his knee for a knee-cut. When his opponent pushes him away, Lucas uses his lapel grip to feed the lapel to his other hand. Lucas then grips the same lapel on the other side of the opponent’s neck using his other hand and completes the cross choke. If the opponent uses her arm to push Lucas away and block him from establishing the second grip, Lucas pulls her arm across her body and pinches it with his bicep. From here he can increase the pressure on her tricep to complete the choke.
