Description

Professor Donovan Espinosa teaches how to escape from the side control and get to the closed guard. Donovan starts by framing under the opponent so he can push the opponent away as he hip escapes out. The near side leg is placed against the opponent’s hip and the outside arm is used to under hook the opponent. Donovan uses his other hand to post out. He now shifts his Hips back to create enough space so he can bring his leg to the other side, closing the guard on the opponent. The under hook is now used to pull the opponent back to break the posture.
